My guys are working on a compilation CD. The CD can be promoted on the net through our pages and individual artists pages and used for promo & demo purposes and a sampler for listeners to order specific groups.Our studio group has formed a selection committee to accomodate the reviews. The cost will be borne pro-rata based on the CD space required and each band will receive a pro-rata distribution of the product to sell and recover their cost. It sounded like a good Idea to me so I agreed to do the mastering at no charge and order the CD's at my cost ($1,000.00 for 1,000 Complete CD's with cases cover Etc.) excluding art & graphics, and include the CD in my promotional radio mailings (a list currently being developed) and our developing regional distibution under UNITY MUSIC GROUP. If this project holds any interest I will get more details and target dates from my promo guy (Nathan Trent). :( In addition to the radio show we are Mixing six(6) albums so I don't expect the composite to get off the ground until early December.
